Why Did Dodge RAM Split?
The Powers That Be at Chrysler wanted RAM to be an exclusive pickup truck line, which was the reasoning behind the 2009 split. By separating Dodge and RAM, Dodge masterminds could put more energy into creating vehicles that compete with similar models from other brands, such as the Dodge Challenger which competes with the Ford Mustang and other muscle cars.
