You will need the license plate number or VIN, make, model, year, and mileage of your car, truck, or SUV. Be sure to include the condition the vehicle is currently in as this increases the appraisal’s accuracy.

WHAT IS THE APPRAISAL PROCESS?

Once you have found your car’s value, using the appraisal tool provided by our trusted partner, Kelley Blue Book, a member of our staff will contact you to set up a time to bring your car to one of our seven dealerships here in Southern Utah. Make sure to bring your registration and/or title for the vehicle. Our appraisal team will inspect your car for dings, dents, scratches, tire-tread depth, and overall interior and exterior condition, as well as confirm the VIN and mileage. If everything is in working order, they will then input this information into our nationally recognized vehicle appraisal tool. This software analyzes data from various reputable resources, such as  National Automotive Dealer Association (NADA), Manheim Motors Retail (MMR), and Kelley Blue Book (KBB), to calculate a fair market value for your vehicle. Once this information is uploaded, our appraisal manager will take your car on a short drive around the block to verify its condition. HOW CAN I GET THE MOST OUT OF MY CAR?

We suggest cleaning out your vehicle, taking out any personal belongings or garbage, and running it through the car wash as the first impression is always important.

WHAT DO I NEED WHEN I BRING MY CAR IN?

When you come into Stephen Wade Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to sell us your car, you will need: Your car’s title or payoff information, a valid state-issued photo ID, the current registration, and all keys and remotes.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO GET PAID?

CAN I SELL MY CAR WITHOUT MY TITLE?

Yes, but we cannot write a check until we have your title or—if you have a loan—receive your title from your lender. See dealer for details.  Your best option is to request a new vehicle title from the Division of Motor Vehicles. Luckily, this process is simple. You just need to fill out the Application for Duplicate Utah Title and pay them a fee of $6.00. You can do this online at the Utah Motor Vehicle portal.
