Jeep Culture in Southern Utah

March 31st, 2021 by

When it comes to southern Utah, what do you think of? Beautiful red rocks and great trails, but most importantly the Off-Roading culture! When you think of Off-Roading, you probably think of Jeeps and there is a reason for that! It’s because there is a strong and known culture surrounding Jeep and a community around these vehicles. For some people, it’s more than just something to get them to point A to point B. Well, it does get them there, but instead, they go through mountains, water, sand, mud, and well, really anything to get to point B instead of just a boring road. I mean they have a wave. Jeep culture is something that’s important to the people who drive jeeps but also Jeep itself. In this blog, we talked about the easter eggs that Jeep hides to nod to Jeep culture all over their vehicles. For example, there are a pair of flip-flops that are on the Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers that is a reference to Rick Pew, a writer for a magazine and a huge jeep enthusiast who can always be found wearing a pair of flip-flops. Check out that blog post for more about Jeep easter eggs. But needless to say, culture is really important to Jeep.

There are also countless Jeep meet us and off-road competitions that go on here in Southern Utah.

There are so many trails to go off-roading here! Trails for the novice week warriors and trails for the four-wheeled daredevils who are looking to pump their veins full of adrenaline.

Here in Southern Utah is a great place to start if you are brand new to off-roading. There are so many trails in this area alone and there are really ones for everyone. Toquerville Falls is an excellent example of a beautiful trail here in Southern Utah. This trail is a 12 mile moderate trafficked trail located near Hurricane, Utah. This trail is used year-round, and while on it you actually go through an amazing waterfall. A lot of people have said it’s a great place to go for a long trip just make sure you have a little bit more ground clearance. If you are looking for a trail that is a little bit longer there is an amazing trail called, “The Zion Park Scenic Byway”. It is rated easy and starts in Hurricane and goes to Mt. Carmel junction. Throughout this trial, you have the chance to see the beautiful views and wildlife. Just a heads up, the fee to get into Zion Park is $35 per vehicle.

In Sand Hollow, there are countless trails raging for all types of skill and comfort levels.

If you’re looking for a trail to go on “Wayne’s World First Half OHV Trail” is a great one. This trail follows a 3.2 mile point-to-point trail. As you go through this trail you will have amazing views of all sorts of terrain. You will start by a lake with a great view.
